How to set it up:

1) Right click somewhere on your desktop and select "New" then "Shortcut"

2) A box will open asking you for the location of the new item. Type this in that box- ts3server://episervers.com/?port=9987

3) You will then be asked to type a name for your new shortcut. Make it 1st RTB TS3 or something similar and click "Next".

4) Go to C Drive Search for "Startup" and put this shortcut in this folder.

Here's what happened,
We decided we'd run a shit ton of TeamSpeak servers and provide them entirely free off the Epidemic website. In the process of setting them up, we decided to test out the server and try to set up the banners on it, ect when we noticed... TeamSpeak isn't a hunk of shit anymore.

After applying for a non profit license with TeamSpeak, we recieved it within the hour and now have the ability to host over 500 slots, meaning, unlike Ventrilo - TeamSpeak is costing us $0.00 per month.

Now, I wasn't about to switch just based on money so we began dicking around with TeamSpeak further when we stumbled upon some more features that sold us..

The avatar/profile system, the icon system, the banner system, ability to use bbcode in all of these, the chat, ect...

We then focused on the primary reason we use Ventrilo and if it were truly better in TeamSpeak.. The Codec..

Ventrilo has a max transfer rate of Speex 32 kHz when it comes to codec.
TeamSpeak however provied CELT Mono 48 kHz, a faster and higher quality codec.

Once upon a time, TeamSpeak was a big purple hunk of shit. Now, the tables have turned.

The only negative thing we have encountered is the fact that your account is not authenticated through a login but it saves to your computer itself.

Epidemic hasn't used TeamSpeak since 2004, the year TeamSpeak was better than Ventrilo, once again the tables have turned. TeamSpeak has a solid team working behind it.

Since the latest update with Counter-Strike: Source, all servers have been set to 66 Tick by default as 66 Tick runs optimal on just about every server versus 100 Tick causing lag and other issues with slower servers.

This is Valve's way of solving the issue versus leaving it in and letting server administrators solve it. We're not going to simply deal with a shit 66 Tick around here at Epidemic and all Epidemic servers are being modified to 100 Tick regardless thanks to modifications made available by users on the Steam forums.

To run flawlessly on our servers, set these following commands
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 101
cl_interp_ratio 2
cl_interp 0

Rates have also been completely nerfed in this new update to prevent people from having such different rates, you will find that it is most likely locked at "rate 25000" just keep it there.
